OK, I lied. So sue me!

I told you yesterday that it was easier to say goodbye to Percy (henceforth to be called Zimmer, after this post!) since I'd had a chance to get to know Ali. And I promised to post Percy's last video today.

What I'd forgotten, in the mere span of 10 days, was that I got a wee bit choked up when I filmed this. Alright, more than a wee bit. Oh, well... it is what it is. I decided to post the video anyway. Actually, it was an easier transition for me, but you wouldn't know it from this clip!

So, pay no attention to the sobbing woman behind the camera (those are happy tears... happy, I tell you!!) and enjoy purrin' Sir Percy!! :-)

  8. Just look at that smile on Zimmer's face, he knows who loves him and who took care of him. Trust me, we don't forget those things!

  9. We know it is tough to see him go, especially since he was with you for so long. But just keep in mind he has a great home now too!

  10. Percy is such a gorgeous boy -- and so affectionate, too! I can certainly see why you're missing him so much. It's perfectly normal to feel a little bittersweet at such a time -- especially with this one because you helped to raise him from a tiny kitten. You did a great job!

Have a fantastic life in your furever home, Percy/Zimmer!

  11. Well, of course I'm crying right along with you. With a smile on my face. This is a perfect "so long" video. Almost like he understood.

Blessings on you little man. Barefoot boy with cheeks of tan.

    xoxo

  15. This is spectacular news. I never could understand how Percy could have been passed over. He was my favorite Maple from day one - even though they were all a bunch of dreamboats. Now, it's clear - he had to wait for his perfect situation, which was getting ready to fall into place.

I can see why it was hard to see him go, Lisa. He was so sweet and you gave him your heart and raised him with such care. That's why he is such a happy boy today.
