I am so sorry to have to tell you that our little boy passed away this afternoon, before I got home from work. He appears to have slipped away, peacefully, in his sleep. We just didn't expect this. Please keep our little Aggie, in your thoughts. She's quite confused. I'll be sleeping with her in the guest bedroom tonight, but I know that is small comfort for her loss.
Our little guy brought smiles to many faces. Thank you all for your outpouring of love and encouragement for our small foster family.
Godspeed, precious little one. You were loved so much. And you are missed already.
oh nooooo!!! :' (
ReplyDeleteNo!!! Im so sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI bet Agnes is confused too - I hope shes alright as well.
Oh no. Poor Agnes, she was so good a mother.
ReplyDeletePoor little thing.
Lisa,
ReplyDeletei want to thank you for taking care of #1 son and Aggie. without your help, i'm afraid our little #1 son would not have had great comforts of being safe, protected and warm. you my friend, gave him the best life that his little numbered days could have possibly been on this earth. i thought our little aggie girl had already captured my heart, but this picture of her with her little guy immediately brought tears streaming. each day is a blessing for all. and yes, godspeed to you little one, our little #1 son, so precious.
lisa, to know you and your caring ways and your kind heart is to love you too..... thank you again for sharing your home and love.
signing of again. sonia
Oh no! I'm so sorry! He was a precious little one. Poor mom.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little boy. He was loved by many during his brief days on earth. Please give Aggie a kiss on the forehead from one of her newest fans in Colorado (here via IBKC).
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I'm so sorry to hear this...poor sweet baby boy. Thank you for giving him a safe and loving home during his short time on this earth...and thank you for taking care of little Aggie...please give her some extra cuddles and love from me...that picture of the two of them just broke my heart.
ReplyDeleteAwww... My husband probably thinks I'm crazy crying over a kitteh I never met... but he was soooo adorable.
ReplyDelete*BIG HUGS*
to both you and Aggie
oh so sad. lisa and sonia and agnes my heart goes out to you. i guess he wasn't meant to be in this world very long. his short precious life was filled with so much love. bless his sweet heart. aggie needs your love now more than ever. you're very much in my thoughts today.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I'm so sorry. He was so little. Aggie will miss him too! Give her as much love as she'll take.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry. We all know you gave him the very best life he could have had during his short time.
ReplyDelete~hugs for all and pats for Aggie~
#1 Son brought me smiles. His passing brings tears. I can only echo the sentiments that others have expressed and say that you brought him the best life he could have had.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about #1 son. He was so cute and so loved by everyone. I feel sorry for his momma. I remember how upset she was when she was put in her carrier without him. Thank you for giving him the best life he could have.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to read this. The picture of Aggie looking down on her little guy was such a display of animal intelligence and feelings. How can anyone ever think animals don't have feelings? He had the love of his mother and the folks who took care of him. He had something in his short life that some never get. He will be missed by all.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! You are such a special group - you've helped make this difficult time a little easier.
ReplyDeleteI feel blessed to have had the chance to love and hold this tiny life, even for a little while. And blessed to have come to know you, the wonderful community who support adoption blogs. You are truly remarkable!
A special thanks to Martin. He's in England and was up at 2am to let me cry on his shoulder, via email, the night it happened.
Thank you again, one and all!
Lisa
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteis there a shelter you'd like us to donate to in memory of this little one?
When the IBKC had to put down Jerry Lee, donations were made in his name so other kittens should have a life as good as his, even a short one. It would be nice to remember Son #1 the same way...
Mari,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thought! I think it would be wonderful, if folks are so moved, to make a donation to their favorite local animal rescue group. The thought of #1 Son's life bringing comfort to kittehs from all over has me in puddles! (the good kind!)
Thank you for your thoughtfulness!
L
We're so sorry that #1 Son has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge so early. He was a lovely little boy.
ReplyDeleteSending gentle purrs to comfort you during this sad time,
Charlemagne and Tamar
