Thank you so much everyone. The cat blogosphere is a truly wonderful place. Your prayers and positive energy really have meant a lot.
I wish I had better news to report. It's been up and down. Sadly, a bit more down. Sharon came to visit today and Grey was in better spirits than he had been. But he's far from out of the woods and some signs, his digestion and blood tests, among other things, aren't good. He's still not eating on his own. I'm sending daily reports to the Doc and he's called and emailed me each day.
So we're trying to keep him comfy, hydrated and fed... and loved.
Thank you all so much. I'll post when we know more.
Hugs to you all!
Lisa

ReplyDeleteI am sending my purrayers, too, but I would also like to share an experience. I had a cat with "fatty liver syndrome" several years ago. In fact, that was how we found out that this 9-year-old had, apparently, been FIV positive since birth. After refusing to eat and losing almost half her body weight, Nadine recovered. However, it took about 7 weeks of my feeding her through a stomach tube at home and carefully monitoring her along with her doctors. Naturally, I don't regret it. It gave her 6 more years of a very well-lived life.
ReplyDeleteAwwww sweet Grey! Please get better!! Me and Charlie are just glad he's with you surrounded by love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
Hang in there Lisa and Grey! I've been there. If you have to do IV fluids, let me know if you need pointers or whatever. I've done it with both the pliable Mister Kitty and the prickly Devi.
