RIP Sweet Baby Grey

With much sadness I must tell you that Grey left for Rainbow Bridge this evening. He took a turn for the worse shortly after his visit with Sharon and, I believe, was ready to go. His crossing was very quiet, warm and peaceful thanks to Doc Andrew and tech Jenn.

Thank you everyone, for your thoughts and prayers, positive energy and encouraging messages. They have meant so very much to both first foster mom, Sharon, and me. The love you sent helped to make this difficult time a little easier.

I'd like to leave you with a video from Sharon. This is the way I will always remember our sweet, gentle giant.

From lusting after Bitty to interrupting work with head to headbutts, Grey was filled with character, life and fun. Via con Dios, my man. You loved and you are loved. Always.

At the very least you know that in the last while he was loved and cared for. I'm sure he's happy on the Rainbow Bridge except for missing you -- as much as you miss him.

You did your best for him and I hope you can find some comfort in that.

  49. I'm so sorry for the loss of Grey. He's such a beautiful cat, and look very much like my own pretty girl. As my husband put it when one of our own cats passed, Grey was lucky to have the opportunity to be so loved, as many cats never have that chance.

Big hugs to both you and Sharon.

No one could have tried harder than you did. I hope that is some comfort in this sad time. We all know you did and we were all there hoping.
