There are Men in My Drawers!

:-) OK, maybe you guessed the first one! Yes, the cabinets are finally out of the living room and assembled in the soon-to-be kitchen. My wonderful Gary (OK, technically Rox's wonderful Gary, but he's in my drawers, here!) is making terrific progress. The cabinets in the island have 4 deep drawers for pots and pans rather than shelves. Next step, floors and counter tops!

But I bet you weren't expecting this second man... in my bedroom drawer! Do you recognize him? It's Marley... the handsome gent I visited back in March when his mom had to go on a trip! Well, she's got back to back trips so we're trying him visiting me instead!

Marley spent the first two days and nights in my room so everyone could have their fill of sniffs and get used to the idea that we had company. Yesterday, we had full integration and everything went fine. Some hisses, to be sure - mostly from Marley, actually - I think my guys are getting used to changes. The hissing had stopped by bed time so I tried letting them all be together overnight. No problems. They all spent the day together and Gary reported all calm on the kitteh front. Same tonight. Whew!

Marley will go home this coming Saturday, but he'll be back the following week for another week's stay. And guess who else will be here then? Kayla and Zimmer!! For three weeks!! Hey, maybe we should rename this place La Posada Space Paws! ;-)

Peggy Sue leaves for her new home on Friday so I'm going to try to get some alone time with her tonight and tomorrow. *Sniff* I'm so happy but, boy, am I going to miss my delicate little lady!

  1. What a handsome lad that Marley is! I love that cats can come and stay with you, much like my parents and I catsit for each other these days. I love having Bella and Duchess come to stay.

  2. Goodness, the kitties certainly are coming and going from your house. That would not work in our house, but sounds like it works out for you.

  3. Although I'm sure Gary is wonderful and ever so lovely, I'm very sorry but for me Marley is the Drawer Gent winner here! LOL!!

Marley's got a sweet little face and those eyes - awwww!!

Big hugs to Miss Peggy Sue Maples. Me and Charlie are so happy she's found a forever home but we know how sad it is for you. We hope you have a wonderful alone time with her tonight.

    Take care
