More comfort needed at Kittenpalooza

Jane told us today that five more of her precious darlings have succumbed to parvovirus.

There is good news - the six remaining kittens and both moms (Wicomico, Talbot, Cecil, Kent, Prince George and Frederick; Caroline and Maryland) appear to be on the mend. They're probably not out of danger quite yet, but the signs look promising.

Our hearts ache for Jane, her sis Nancy and her mom, Alice. They've tried so hard to save all these babies.

Please keep Kittenpalloza in your thoughts and prayers. It's hard, too, for our community to watch from afar and to be able to offer only comfort as help. Taking a cue from memorials for the IBKC's Jerry Lee, I'll look into how best to send a tangible memorial for the babies who have crossed to Rainbow bridge and post that as soon as I know.

  1. I was just totally shocked when I saw their post - I have gotten behind and had no idea they had been sick. It is just so heartbreaking.

  4. Such sad, heartbreaking news. Our momma got our fur all wet with her tears. We're very sad that the little ones are angels now.

Sending purrs, purrs and super purrs that all of the remaining kitties pull through,

    Charlemagne and Tamar

  5. Oh...I am sniffling! I'm coming in late as you know, I've finally fired up the blog again (thank you again for your wonderful emails checking on me), I see I have some reading and catching up to do. I add my good thoughts, purrs and chirps (from the birds) to everyone else's.

  9. Oh no. What awful news. It is a torrid time at the moment in the foster blogosphere.

We will wait to hear how we can best contribute to a memorial.
