There is good news - the six remaining kittens and both moms (Wicomico, Talbot, Cecil, Kent, Prince George and Frederick; Caroline and Maryland) appear to be on the mend. They're probably not out of danger quite yet, but the signs look promising.
Our hearts ache for Jane, her sis Nancy and her mom, Alice. They've tried so hard to save all these babies.
Please keep Kittenpalloza in your thoughts and prayers. It's hard, too, for our community to watch from afar and to be able to offer only comfort as help. Taking a cue from memorials for the IBKC's Jerry Lee, I'll look into how best to send a tangible memorial for the babies who have crossed to Rainbow bridge and post that as soon as I know.
I was just totally shocked when I saw their post - I have gotten behind and had no idea they had been sick. It is just so heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteThat is so very sad, weepy wet whiskers.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sad they ALL have to go through this ordeal. We will continue our purrayers to them.
ReplyDeleteSuch sad, heartbreaking news. Our momma got our fur all wet with her tears. We're very sad that the little ones are angels now.
ReplyDeleteSending purrs, purrs and super purrs that all of the remaining kitties pull through,
Charlemagne and Tamar
Oh...I am sniffling! I'm coming in late as you know, I've finally fired up the blog again (thank you again for your wonderful emails checking on me), I see I have some reading and catching up to do. I add my good thoughts, purrs and chirps (from the birds) to everyone else's.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. Losing so many has got to be very hard.
ReplyDeleteI was going to e mail you when I read it but I was crying too much to type.
ReplyDeleteI am heartbroken over this,
AP/J
Two of my four came from Homeward Trails via petfinder.com.
ReplyDeleteOh no. What awful news. It is a torrid time at the moment in the foster blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteWe will wait to hear how we can best contribute to a memorial.
Thank you for spreading the word. I hope the remaining 6 grow up to be super healthy with their 8 angels watching over them.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you lost so many darlings...it is a dreadful illness and spreads so quickly. Sending lots of purrs and prayers for the remaining cats.
ReplyDeleteOh no! :( :( :( I didn't see this until now. I'ma go head over there... thanks for the info, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteMy turn to be behind in the foster news world, Lisa -- thanks for the heads-up. So very sad!
