Surgery for Gus Tomorrow + Angels Nod

Your dose of Angels for the day:

Gus Update
Unfortunately it is late and I've got to get to bed. I promise more details tomorrow. Here's a (very) condensed version:

At 8 this morning I spoke to the surgeon, Dr. Hess. At 9:30, Gus was in the exam room. The good news: the operation has a 98% success rate. Yay!! Doc Hess explained the procedure in detail, and went over the alternatives. In the end we decided to go with a thin plate, which will be formed to the bone and screwed in place. I felt very comfortable giving Gus into his care. The Doc, his tech, Janet, and their greeter, Alice (you'll get to meet her tomorrow!), were just as nice as they could be.

Tomorrow morning, Gus will be in surgery. So, folks, please keep your good thoughts coming for our little boy!
