The kittens succeeded in totally deconstructing the scratcher/cave combo in the bedroom. The only sign of the scratching pad itself was little pillows of shredded cardboard all over the floor.
I found the pad under the dresser and put it back together before I went to bed. It was apart in the morning. I put it together before I went to work this morning. It was demolished this evening. *sigh* At least they're having fun!!!
Oh how cute, good luck getting to sleep with wound up babies and the sound of itty bitty claws going scritch scritch on cardboard.

Gotta love the babies! At least they use the various scratching stuff you give them. My kitten bypasses the two scratching posts and two scratching carpets and goes straight for my couch. It's destroyed on one corner!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Meg! Yes, the Maples have been very good about using the scratching pads. The General Population, however, not so much. If you look (at about :16), you can see that some other kittehs prefer the bed post.
ReplyDelete*sigh* I fought it, but they (primarily Winnie and Chester) ignored every effort to disuade them. I should have known better than to get pine furniture but I just wasn't thinking that day, I guess!
Oh my gosh - aren't they just so cute! I wish I could be there playing with them. I buy my Banjo nice fancy toys and he still prefers a brown paper baq to play in. Why do cats love ripping apart cardboard? Funny kitties!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that watching this video was the best way to start my day...those little Maples are just the cutest and funniest little kittens ever...I just love all the wrestling and jumping and going in and out of the cardboard thingie...looks like a good time was had by all! Thank you Lisa and the Maples for bringing a huge grin to my face :-)
ReplyDeleteI was laughing right along with you, Lisa! Lordy, they're funny. I think they prefer the scratchy thing without the scratchy thing.
ReplyDeleteOh they are such cuties! It is good that they have so much fun together!
ReplyDeleteThey are too cute and look like they're having a blast!!! Scratchy scratchy...
ReplyDeleteheh, too cute. The shredded cardboard is a small price to pay, eh?
ReplyDeleteWhat was the audio hum due to? It got better towards the end of the video..
Despite the kitten-ish roughhousing, I'm amazed at how much they all look like CATS now, rather than the fuzzy babies they started out as. (They grow up so fast!)
