'Tis 3 am and All Is Well!!

Mama is in the box!!!

Just went down to slip the heating pad in with the kittens, lifted the sheet shrouding the bed and saw a little black kitty, stretched out on her side... with a really big tummy (ok, I know that "tummy" was kittens, but it's dark under the bed and that's what it looked like). AND, she didn't flick a whisker at the interruption! I gently replaced the sheet and beat feet!

Ze drama... she is over! Yaaaaay!!! I soooo don't like drama when it comes to little ones! (You can click here and here if you missed it.) Whew, what a relief! And, I get to sleep for 4 contiguous hours before I have to get up for work! Yay!

Everything was so worth it to see our mom and babies together, but I do have one gripe - why couldn't little mama have shown me she was back with her kittens BEFORE I turned the house upside down looking for the diggledy dag extension cord for the heating pad. LOL!

Tomorrow (uhhhh... technically today, but later), pictures - I promise! And we can get down to the important business of naming the little family.

  1. I'm probably the only one up with you (well, maybe Ted, too). I'm on a layover in Amsterdam. I'm glad mom settled and all is well! It's our instinct to want to get everything clean and cozy as we would want it...sounds like mom forgave you!

  4. Yea, Mama! Hopefully she's over her disgruntlement and will stick with her kittens now.

Still sending lots of purrs the little family's way!

  9. Thank heavens! Now your big job involves pictures and naming. Two torties...well, you know I am partial :) And you are pretty safe figuring those are girl kitties. I hope you will be able to relax and enjoy watching the kittens grow during your vacation!

  12. Obviously, I'm going to have to live vicariously through your kitten pics, as Maggie has informed me that October sounds like a good month to birth her aliens. :)

    So glad everything worked out!
