Our sweet Miss Lilo has a forever home!! Yay!
Meet Sandy, Lilo's new forever mom! Sandy knows me from church and when she decided it was time to open her heart and home to a furkid (her first, ever!!) we are very glad she came to Space Paws!!
Sandy came over a few days ago and had a meet and greet. I wish I'd had the flashy box going that day... there would have been some good snaps of the two of them checking each other out, nose to nose!
So Sandy went home to get her apartment ready, do some reading on the care and lovin' of kittehs, and today she came to make Lilo hers forever.
Since Sandy had nothing, we met at PetSmart to get a few "necessaries." While we stuck to the necessary list (pretty much), I somehow have a feeling Lilo is going to be one very spoiled young lady! Now none of us spoil our furkids so I can't imagine where Sandy is getting this from. ;-)
For me, this is just terrific, 'cause I'm going to get to visit and will bring you pics... and Sandy promised to send updates, too!
I'm going to take the last couple of days of my vacation to get some things done so I may not post again until Monday. It's been great being able to keep up with blog friends these past days, 'cause we all know how it goes when we're in work mode!! See you in a couple of days, folks! And thanks soooo much for the layout suggestions. Please, feel free to still comment and let me know what works and what doesn't!
Hurrah for Lilo! I hope she and Sandy have many, many happy years together. She'll have Sandy trained in no time at all, but it might be best if Sandy discovers this on her own. Heaven knows, I thought cats were independent and low-maintenance before I adopted my first! :-D
ReplyDeleteHooray!!! And I know what you mean about how none of us ever spoil our furkids *snicker snicker*
ReplyDeleteMiss Lilo, I am so happy for you my whiskers just cannot quit grinning up! YAYx10!!!
ReplyDeleteHuzzah! (Keeping with the theme...) Great news that Lilo has a forever home, I know she will be happy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for Lilo! It was so sad that her previous mom had to give her up, so it's extra-special that she's found someone to love her. And she'll be the purrfect first cat for Sandy because she's an adult.
ReplyDeleteHurrah for Lilo! That is such fantastic news!
ReplyDeleteWe love the new layout btw, it is very nice and bright!
Great news about Lilo! I can think of no better 'first cat' ! Much happiness to her and Sandy!
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to see an adult cat get adopted and to a first time cat owner! Congrats to Lilo and Sandy - may they be the best of friends forever!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Lilo! Good stuff!

Oh this was the best news I've heard all week! Yay for Miss Lilo and her new Mommy! Sandy, thank you for opening your home and your heart to this sweet girl! Off to do my happy dance now :-)
ReplyDeleteYay Miss Lilo!! Now can we get a happy ending for Grey??
ReplyDeleteYay for Lilo! I have such a sweet spot for grey kitties ... and orange kitties ... and calico kitties ... I just have a problem apparently judging by the 6 cats that live in my house.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news for Lilo! And I am so glad that she is with someone who will send updates - it will be nice to know what is going on with her life (you know, she could always start her own blog too...) I am so happy to read that she will be in a wonderful forever home now!!

Yay for Lilo, and yay for Sandy! We are so, so happy about this great news!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Lilo and Sandy! I hope Lilo's original family gets the news. It must have been awful to give her up (selfish nursing home) and maybe now they can rest easier knowing she's in a good home.
ReplyDeleteI wish them both many happy years together.
YIPPEE~YAHOOEY!!! For both Lilo AND Sandy! That is a purrific story!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa for all your help in finding Lilo a home. Me, Tom, my sister and mom appreciate you so much.
