I Can Haz Answer?

Pardon, me lady bean...

...you know I love you...

...but could you please explain...

...exactly what in the heck is going on here?????

Yes, the gang is in in a puzzlement over the continuing changes in their space. First the desk and table came into the living room and, even though the couch went out, their run room was severely curtailed. And, insult of insults, they were banned from the back two rooms.

This morning the kitchen cabinets arrived and everything got pushed over to one side of the living room. I don't have the heart to tell them that when the new flooring goes in, everyone will be banished to the bedroom while the work is going on. Six cats in one room, not of their own accord... this ought to be interesting. We may have to get the latches on the upstairs kitchen and guest bedroom doors fixed (they close, but don't latch securely enough for persistent felines trying to get out).

Miss Bitty adapted quite quickly. She was up in the cat tree moments after the delivery men departed. Only Peggy Sue has ventured downstairs since! We shall see what happens from here!

  5. Change is difficult! We are getting new carpet in a couple weeks and it sounds like our world is going to be turned upside down for awhile too. Ugh!

  6. In our house when the furniture moves it is just time to jump around on it - if they can get to it that is. When they did the floors we had 5 in our bedroom for hours - I tried making a "gate" so they coudl have the whole upstairs - big failure, and after 2 escape attempts they ended up in the bedroom. There was also a vet trip in the midst of it all. I stayed up with the cats and let the boyfriend deal with the floor guys - so the cats and I finally got settled and took a nap. I don't think it will be too bad for yours - they will probably just nap.

  7. We are in the midst of some renovations ourselves (minor, but significant enough to involve power drills and nail guns). Not exactly kitty friendly! But we do have latching doors, so I think our next foster (soon!) will do fine :)

  8. Oh my goodness. I'm wondering how 9 and Chani are going to react when we move to the condo!

  9. Renovations are fun - lots of boxes to look in, lots of nooks and cranies to hide in, tools to whap.....

  11. That's a lot to contend with, but it will end soon enough. We get upset if we are restrained in the bathroom for just an hour while a workman is here.

  12. Home renovations ~ always so unsettling to our four legged friends! But hopefully everything goes quickly and kitties will have the run of the house again. Good luck!

  13. Ah yes, most disconcerting! Kitties usually aren't too fond of any changes going on, and these seem to be rather big ones (changes, that is).

Of course, it does offer the opportunity to sniff everything out, but once they are relegated to one room, that's going to stop.

Once everything's done though, there will be a whole new world to investigate!

  14. Oh dear, that's a lot of changes for the kitties to absorb...of course it will provide endless entertainment and amusement for them once everything's done and they get to explore new stuff :)

We had our carpets cleaned so three kitties were shut in the bedroom for most of the day (they did NOT appreciate it), and once they were let out, all the furniture was still piled up in the kitchen and boy did the kitties have a blast jumping on stuff and trying to work on their circus act...they were quite disappointed when things went back to normal.

  15. They should look at this on the positive side, look at those awesome boxes to crawl in once they are empty!

  17. Thanks for the prayers. We hoping the new diet works for her. Were also hoping that her heart murmur is nothing to worry about.

Six cats! Wow! you got me beat. I have 5 cats and thats a handful.
I can't wait to meet all your kitties.

    Again, Thank you.
