I will hug him and pet him and squeeze him and call him...

... well, we don't know yet!

So, we're asking for your help! Feel free to proffer names for these little cuties, folks! Clockwise, from the upper left are our little girl, the buff boy, orange boy #1 and his almost twin brother, orange boy #2. Let us know what you think we should call them!

  1. The baby down-the-right looks like a tiny MANGO! Congratulations on your new-born-cuties!

  6. I'm with spinkitty - I think Ginger is a darling name for the girl. You could shorten it to Ginny.

  7. I think nichole hit it on the head with Ginger or Ginny. For the boys, I think Bob (for the buff boy), George and Julian (for the orange guys).

  10. How about some nice Irish names for this ginger bunch. Bridgit, Ewen, Seamus and Sean. Last name O'Leary.
Brigit Rose O'Leary, has a nice ring to it!

  13. All of these names are adorable...to think that before Peggy Sue found such wonderful people her babies might not have ever had anyone thinking of names for them...They are some blessed Kitties, that is for sure!

My daughter says..Georgia (O'Keefe) for the girl (artist)
    And famous redheads...for the boys...
    Vincent (VanGogh)
    George (Bernard Shaw)
    Winston (Churchill)

    I was thinking funny redheads:
    Lucille (Ball)
    Conan (O'Brian)
    Red Buttons
Prince Harry ?!?! not sure if he is funny but he does have red hair.

I am sure whatever you pick will be adorable but we had fun coming up with these names. LOL

  16. Wow! You guys are awesomely creative!! I have ROFL at several of the suggestions!

We've got another email entry: Garfield, one of the most famous orange boys on the planet, from Martin.

Keep them coming! Sonia and I will be confiring over the weekend on selection method (most times suggested, random draw, etc.... so many ways to choose!) and then next week we'll choose and announce the names. Thanks everybody! It's such a blast to get this input!

  18. [delurk]

With all this talk of redheads, how about naming them after some of the famously redheaded Weasley family from the Harry Potter books? There was only Ginny as the girl, but you've got lots of choices there for the boys:

    Arthur
    Bill
    Charlie
    Percy
    Fred
    George
    Ron

  21. Personally, I like to spend time with kitties before naming them, to see what kind of tiny personalities are emerging. BUT, since Lisa & Peggy Sue are the only ones who get to do that in this case, here's my best set of guesses based on the Maples' weigh-in:

    Buff Boy: Truman; Hugo; Ambrose.

"Twins": Rutherford ("Ruddy"); Augie; Oscar; Moe; Ziggy; Lars.

    Girl: Ingrid; Eliza; Priscilla.

(I'm afraid I can't figure how to post this other than "Anonymous". This is ngriffin40@att.net.)

  22. Oh, my gosh, we've got such good names to choose from. Since naming has been delayed a week, due to my trip, maybe we will find we can put a bit more personality into the equation!

  23. I would be honored to have them named after my sweet baby girl Cheese!

    For the girl: Brie

And for the boys: Jack, Colby, and Blue.

  24. Muffin, Wheaty, Chance, Tanner OR
    Guinevere, Excaliber, Arthur, Caerleon

  25. For the little boys - Nevin, Owen and Ethan (after former students of mine) and the little girl should be Gillian

  26. Thanks Anon, Anon & Kate!
Hopefully Sonia and I will be able to hook up soon, now that I'm back, for a naming!!

  27. For orange boy one (OB1) I would think Obi-wan Kenobi (or some derivation thereof) would be fitting. Like Ben or Benny.
